Tracy has a BA in sociology from the University of Michigan.

Ray Kemper

Ray Kemper has over 20 years of experience as a senior marketing executive. Previously, he was the Global Marketing Director for Microsoft Bing, and Sr. Director of Channel Marketing at AT&T, and is currently a Forbes Communication Council member.

Ray has a BA in marketing from the University of Tennessee and an MBA from Kennesaw State University.

Sandra Freeman

Head of Strategic Marketing, Engagio

Sara leads strategic marketing at Engagio and is responsible for amazing events, lead nurturing, lead management, offer development, online marketing, and marketing automation. Previously, Sandra was the Senior Director of Marketing and Client Services at Ventana Research, and Director of Integrated Marketing at Ariba.

Who is the ideal candidate for this program?

Characteristics of an ideal candidate include someone who is tech savvy and inquisitive; driven and motivated to learn and apply new skills; curious about other disciplines in marketing; has a desire to understand and apply data; is a metrics-oriented multi-tasker, who can balance the time commitment required for the program with other responsibilities.

Do I need to have previous experience in marketing before enrolling?

Not necessarily. In fact, our most successful students are transitioning from marketing adjacent careers (e.g., finance, sales) or may only have studied marketing or business in an academic setting. Some material may be more advanced to those without any previous marketing experience, in which case the instructors and teaching assistants would work with you to help fill the knowledge gap to ensure you are getting a full experience.

What digital marketing technology tools will be covered in the program?

Many of our instructors work in technology, so you will hear about many different applications in the sales and marketing technology category.  We will be diving deeper into the “bread and butter” tools of today’s digital marketer such as Salesforce, HubSpot, Marketo, Facebook, and Google.

How many hours a week should I expect to spend on the program?

Summer Immersion Programs: Between the live class sessions and challenge assignments, pre-class preparation, and career services activities, you should plan to invest between 25 and 30 hours a week for the first 6 weeks of the course and around 35 hours per week for the final 2 weeks of the course devoted to the Apprentorship.

Where does the program take place?

You will attend scheduled live class sessions at [INSERT DESIGNATED CAMPUS LOCATION] which you will receive details about once enrolled. You’ll gather with your peers and join the instructor-led live broadcast online through our video conference platform. During the live broadcast, you and your peers will complete individual or team-based “Challenges”, participate in group discussions, and interact real-time with your instructors.  Outside of the live class sessions, you will spend time preparing for live class sessions by accessing content and completing tasks through the online learning portal. The online learning portal can be accessed from anywhere with an internet connection.
